YOUR STARTING POINT

One clear picture.
One useful next step.

You do not need a perfect plan to begin. Use this sequence to understand where you are and choose what deserves your attention next.

01. Take a snapshot

Write down what you own, what you owe and what comes in each month. Keep accessible cash separate from investments and home equity. Calculate your net worth and monthly savings rate.

02. Protect the foundation

Make room for essential bills, required debt payments and unexpected costs. If cash flow is negative, start there before assuming investment growth will close the gap. Build a reserve that fits your life.

03. Choose one goal

A cash cushion, less debt, a deposit or retirement: give your priority an amount and a date. Separate near-term goals from money you can leave invested for longer. Work backward to a monthly contribution.

04. Choose your pace

Explore saving and long-term investing, or investigate income and ownership opportunities. You can combine them, but account for the time, money and uncertainty each adds.

05. Make a 30-day commitment

Choose something observable: record spending, set up a manageable transfer, compare two career options or test one paid offer. Put a review date in your calendar. Adjust from actual results instead of treating a first estimate as a permanent rule.

Your plan, in three lines

My current priority is ____.
This month I will ____.
I will review the result on ____.
